Vermont Lay Monitoring Continues
This program equips and trains local lake users to measure the nutrient enrichment of their lake by collectin water quality data following a rigorously documented and quality assured methodology. This citizen monitoring program is mainly based on the trophic parameters and monitors apporximately 40 lakes and 25 Lake Champlain stations per year. Harvey's Lake is sampled for chlorophyll - a, total phosphorous, and Secchi disk transparency. This program has been in place at our lake since 1979. Results of yearly samples are available at the DEC website.
